Since its inception in 1998, York & Chapel provided extensive support and service to the NBC Internet’s family of web portals. One project involved the consolidation of several national corporate brands under a single universal brand umbrella and concept. As a result, we also produced several web, multimedia, and print projects for NBC.
Being a GE-owned property with an average of over three million unique visitors per day, the re-imaging of the website needed to focus on its visitors and users. We took great care in the visual design, the user interface, the site navigation and site hierarchy. Throughout the process, the brand awareness strategy was weaved into the portal site of over 25,000 pages and linking into 20 mini-sites.
Complimenting the web work, York & Chapel designed much of the print collateral supporting the NBC online presence. This effort includes billboards, window and building signage, press event materials, press kit, recruitment materials, sales sheets and invitations.
For NBCi’s first annual report, we build an impressive document consisting of over 80 pages. This keystone communications piece positioned NBC and NBCi as leaders in content delivery.
York & Chapel created several NBCi posters to be distributed to internal staff, external vendors and media partners. Designed to announce different events from product launches to relocation notifications to corporate parties these posters were useful tools for the PR department to create great word of mouth about NBCi.
