The Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance (PTCRA)
Commute.org, Try Transit Program
The PTCRA is a not-for-profit government funded agency working to provide commuters with information and alternative transportation programs with the aim to reduce traffic congestion in and around San Mateo County. York & Chapel designed and developed an online presence to communicate their message and to be a foundation for their ongoing efforts.
With over 100 pages of information, York and Chapel designed a user friendly interface, an information friendly layout, and an intuitive site architecture. The new site is a one-stop resource for all PTCRA’s commute news and information. This project included a client database, several online program subscriptions, and a SEM component. Along with other marketing efforts by York & Chapel and the PTCRA, site traffic more than tripled overall.
For that past 3 years PTCRA and York & Chapel, with association with SF-based PR firm K/F Communications, has created annual media events that promoted PTCRA’s alternative transportation programs. The Try Transit events partnered with many prominent the bay area businesses including the SF Giants, BART, Table for Six, CalTrain and the San Francisco International Airport.
